Just as the month of April is gearing up for the start of summer, everyone is gearing up for the start of cooling season and Air Conditioner start-ups. If you’ve been contemplating replacing your air conditioner, it can be a daunting task because an Air Conditioner replacement is a sizable expense for your household. However, there are programs put into place that could help reduce the cost of your air conditioner install, and if you are a ComEd customer, you may find that you’re eligible for a High Efficiency Air Conditioner Rebate.
Right now, ComEd’s current rebate program allows customers to receive a $300 Air Conditioner Rebate for a unit that is rated at 14.5 SEER or greater and is installed by a licensed HVAC contractor. Additionally, if you install a programmable or Smart Thermostat, there are rebates available for that as well. For customers looking to install a new programmable thermostat, Nicor offers a $20 rebate. For customers looking to install a Smart Thermostat, such as an eecobee3, Nest Learning Thermostat, or Honeywell Lyric, ComEd offers a $125 rebate when your thermostat is installed through an licensed HVAC contractor. For complete details on these rebate programs, we urge you to check out the ComEd Rebate Page and Nicor Rebate page for complete details on Air Conditioner Rebates and Thermostat Rebates.
Please check with ComEd to make sure that your account is directly through them and to ensure you qualify for any rebates, as Nortek Environmental, Inc. or any other HVAC company will not have access to this information. If your home’s electric is directed through another company, you may not be eligible for these rebates. It is extremely important to confirm your rebate eligibility status before you install a new air conditioner in your home.
For more information about which Air Conditioners Nortek Environmental, Inc. offers that qualify for a ComEd Air Conditioner Rebate, please contact our office at (630) 548-1500 for further details and to set up your Energy Savings Consultation! We would be more than happy to discuss what options are available to you when choosing an Air Conditioner for your home and to compare pricing that takes your potential rebate eligibility into effect.
Hurry though, ComEd’s current rebate period ends on May 31st, 2016 and there is no information yet on what the next program year will include!
