It’s hard to think about the first day of Spring being next month with all of this snow on the ground and ice cold temperatures, but before you know it you’ll be seeing the green underneath that thick white layer of snow and it’ll be time to get your home ready for the upcoming Cooling Season! Spring Air Conditioning Maintenance is one of the most important things you can do for your home’s HVAC system in order to make sure that your Air Conditioner is going to be running properly and keeping your home cool this upcoming Spring and Summer.
One very important item is to schedule your Nortek Environmental, Inc. 22-Point Certified Air Conditioner Cleaning, Tune-Up and Inspection once the weather starts getting warm. When a Nortek Environmental, Inc. Certified Technician is performing a 22-Point Certified Air Conditioner Cleaning, Tune-Up and Inspection at your home, they are doing 22 separate tests to make sure that your Air Conditioner is working properly and efficiently. They are also inspecting your unit to advise of any possible upcoming repairs. Please note that it must be at least 60 degrees outside to perform a proper 22-Point Certified Air Conditioner Cleaning, Tune-Up and Inspection.
Another very important item that you should be doing is making sure your furnace filter is clean each month. It’s very important for your furnace to have a clean filter so your furnace can function properly. We highly advise keeping a stock of 6-12 furnace filters in your home so you only have to make 1 or 2 runs to the store a year to purchase them.
Finally, take this time to inspect your home and make sure that it is sealed properly. This means inspecting your home’s windows and doors for any air leaks and sealing any found air leaks. The more sealed and insulated your home is, the more warm air your home will retain in the winter and the more cool air it will retain in the summer.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on other Spring Air Conditioning Maintenance items to do to get your home ready for the Cooling Season! Remember, you can always contact us at (630) 548-1500 with any questions or concerns you may have!
Stay warm and have a wonderful weekend!
